Gas/Electric Single Phase Units
For All Units Installed After January 1, 1998
Residential Installation
First Year
Amana Heating and Air Conditioning will provide a free replacement part, f.o.b. Amana, Iowa, for any part which fails to function properly due
to defective material or workmanship.
Second through Fifth Year
Amana Heating and Air Conditioning will provide a free replacement part, f.o.b. Amana, Iowa, for any functional part (condenser and
evaporator motors, condenser fan, blower wheel, pressure switches, expansion devices, contactors, transformers, relays, induced draft
blower, burner, control board, pilot assembly, gas valve, high pressure switch, low pressure switch, capacitor, compressor, control boards,
limit switches) which is defective due to workmanship or materials.
Second through Tenth Year
Amana Heating and Air Conditioning will provide a free compressor, condenser coil, or evaporator coil, f.o.b. Amana, Iowa, for any
compressor which is defective due to workmanship or materials, or any condenser coil, or evaporator coil which is defective due to non-
reparable refrigerant leak(s) due to workmanship or materials.
Second through Lifetime (as long as original homeowner owns home)
Amana Heating and Air Conditioning will provide a free heat exchanger, f.o.b. Amana, Iowa, for any heat exchanger which fails to function
properly due to defective material or workmanship.
Non-Residential Installation
First Year
Amana Heating and Air Conditioning will provide a free replacement part, f.o.b. Amana, Iowa, for any part which fails to function properly due
to defective material or workmanship.
Second through Fifth Year
Amana Heating and Air Conditioning will provide a free compressor, f.o.b. Amana, Iowa, for any compressor which fails to function properly
due to defective material or workmanship.
Second through Tenth Year
Amana Heating and Air Conditioning will provide a free heat exchanger, f.o.b. Amana, Iowa, for any heat exchanger which fails to function
properly due to defective material or workmanship.
Residential Installation
Limited One Year Warranty
Limited Five Year Warranty on Functional Parts
Limited Ten Year Warranty on Compressor,
Condenser Coil, and Evaporator Coil
Limited Lifetime Warranty on Heat Exchanger
Non-Residential Installation
Limited One Year Warranty
Limited Five Year Warranty on Compressor
Limited Ten Year Warranty on Heat Exchanger
Warranty Limitations
• Begins at date of original purchase.
• Applies only to original installation and normal use within the United
States or Canada.
• If subsequent owner in a residential installation, lifetime heat
exchanger warranty converts to a 15 year warranty.
• Service must be performed by an authorized Amana
®
servicer.
Warranty Is Void If
• Serial plate is defaced or removed.
• Product has defect or damage due to product alteration,
connection to an improper electrical supply, shipping and handling,
accident, fire, flood, lightning or other conditions beyond the control
of Amana Refrigeration, Inc.
• Product is not installed according to Amana Refrigeration Inc.'s
instructions and specifications.
• Product is operated in a corrosive environment containing
concentrations of corrosive agents causing deterioration of metal
components.

Owner's Responsibilities
• Provide proof of purchase (sales receipt).
• Provide normal care and maintenance.
• Make product reasonably accessible for service.
• Pay for freight, labor and travel.
• Pay for service calls related to product installation.
In no event shall Amana Refrigeration, Inc. be liable for
incidental or consequential damages.*
*This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may have
others which vary from state to state. For example, some states do
not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential
damages so this exclusion may not apply to you.
